I received my Master's degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Boulder, Colorado's Naropa University, and have been trained in both Experiential Play Therapy, and Gestalt Psychotherapy. Also integrated into my practice is Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and eastern philosophy. I believe wholeheartedly in the effectiveness of holistic, experiential approaches to healing and my work is informed by the belief that every individual, young and old, is attempting to move toward a state of greater wholeness. It is my job to assist my clients in this endeavor while honoring them in their entirety. I have over seven years of experience working with children in a variety of capacities and look forward to working with your child. Personally. Originally from California, I moved to Portland in 2009 with my partner Tony and our two mutt dogs. I am passionate about playing with children, globetrotting, listening to the ocean, and dancing to various types of music- (strategies that help me move more deeply into the present moment). As a child, my favorite place on the planet was Catalina Island, CA and my favorite game was ''mermaids.'' I look forward to having more life adventures, learning more about myself as a being, and raising children.
